When you’ve hard-coded a website from scratch dozens of times it starts to lose value quick. Thus Cactus for Mac is a great alternative static website builder.

Quickly put together templates and structures for any type of layout including blogs, portfolios, even shopping pages.

Granted these are all static templates and do require manual work to setup backend systems or CMS’. However Cactus can save you a lot of time by creating the initial directories and file structures needed for a great website.

Since it’s all open source you can actually find the app’s code on GitHub. It’s a completely free application to download and use for as many projects as needed.
