Before starting our tutorial find some picture to demonstrate effect on it. Go to Google Images and find some appropriate picture or you can use my picture. Open up the picture, then make selection of all the canvas with Ctrl+A and press Ctrl+C to copy selected area. Then create a new document sized 1920×1200 pixels (white background) and paste copied fragment into it with Ctrl+V.

Question: How Freelance Designers Get More Referrals?

Recently I meet friends which most of them are freelance web and graphic designers. Whether they are beginner or savvy designers, one of the hot topics that they discuss is “how freelance designers get more referrals?”. Referrals means more orders. It is reasonable for them to always try to think innovate ways to get more clients.

I am preparing a post (probably a series of posts) about this topic. I have been doing a research but I would like to know what do you think a freelance designer should to to get more referrals?
