32 Amazing Graphic Designer’s Portfolio Sites

with 30 comments

In this article we’ll be checking out some truly inspiring graphic designer’s portfolio sites. You’ll see a collection of sites that literally catch your eye in all the ways that you could possibly imagine! The landing page becomes a moving, layered, multi-faceted space that you are welcome to wander through and where you can be sure that you won’t be bothered at all by monotonous or cliché graphics. On the contrary, spontaneity, fresh ideas and amazing designs are absolutely guaranteed in this case!  Some of the portfolio sites have a personal touch and let you catch a glimpse of the designer’s character or personality. Some others concentrate on a certain type of graphics that the designer prefers – from bold minimalism to luxurious, dynamical graphical compositions. The Flash sites are, of course, a favorite medium, but also the xHTML sites made with CSS and animated with Javascripts, for a better Google positioning or as a proof that they master these techniques as well.

BEST DESIGNER PORTFOLIO WEBSITE DESIGNS

In all cases, the site structure seems to have been playfully dismantled and then put together again in a new, extremely creative and astonishing way! In fact, it would be a good idea to look not only at the web-designs in this collection but also at the portfolios – you’ll surely find cool stuff that inspires you, there too! But go ahead and see for yourself!

This is new concept, created by Igor “Rogix” Udushlivy, I wonder that it would be great if we can use dust jackets and
bookmarks together to create a unique image of a paper book. you can cover your books with a dust jacket that has a matching bookmark that goes along with it. The coordinating jacket and bookmark make the book even more fun and can help to expand book’s space

Outstanding Artworks of Josh Keyes

with 9 comments

Josh Keyes was born in 1969 in Tacoma Washington. Keyes graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and later received his MFA in painting from Yale University. Josh’s work brings to mind the detail and complexity of natural history dioramas, and the color and diagrammatic complexity one might find in cross section illustrations from a vintage science textbook. His work has developed over the past years into an iconic and complex personal vocabulary of imagery that creates a mysterious and sometimes unsettling juxtaposition between the natural world and the man made landscape

He weaves his personal mythology through fractured and isolated landscapes that are either overgrown with vegetation or underwater, and often depict historic or military monuments covered with graffiti. The imagery functions as a way for Keyes to express his personal experience and also allows him to comment and interpret events in the world. His work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibited in galleries in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Denver. Keyes currently lives and works in Portland Oregon.
