Hello,
I really like the site and the articles are excellent however one thing I thought would be great to see is an article or two specific to certain types of businesses. Let me explain.
Universities for example. The science and art that centers around a good web design using the latest jquery or other tools that make for a good university design. The reason why I think an indepth review of a particular subject area such as this would be interesting is because it highlights the difficulty of designing with a specific goal and set of requirements in mind. If I want to design a good admissions site I have to take in to account the audience, the goals of the university and yet be free with design to push the boundaries of web design itself.
What I am driving at is adding articles that focus on good design wrapped in constraints and how to best navigate in those environments. I bet you have a lot of public and private corp’s and readers that would be very interested in articles tailored to their every day challenges.
Great Site Keep Up the Good Work

I’d like to see some posts that look how to generate positive user experience from my designs. How can I use design to make sure people are paying attention to the information I want them to?
Thanks!

Hi,
First off, Great Site! There’s not much I’d change about this site because it’s always full of inspiration. The only thing I would suggest would be diversifying the art work. I like to look at the artists of the month and illustration inspirations but there seems to be a recurring trend in the look of the designs. They seem to all look alike. Also I’d be interested in seeing your reflections on being a designer with tips for people who are looking into studying graphic design or who are already in the field but would like advice.
Thanks!

First of all, I already think the articles presented on this blog are absolutely wonderful. Accordingly, I had a little trouble thinking of something that would add even more value to this website.
I realized that most of the articles here are based on inspiration. Yet, they are mainly based on individual inspiration. Something that might be even more difficult is how to have an entire team working towards a common goal - be it designing a website or working on print design. As such, I think an article in regards to inspiring an entire team would be a great thing to add to the already impressive repertoire of articles here.

I hope this doesn’t sound too vague, but with all of the amazing works here I’d kind of like to see good design that is forced to work on small pieces and in small spaces - anything from designing pencils and pens to small stickers to bottle caps.
Keep up the good work though

The first thing I would do is ease up on the advertising. You talk about Experience and Design. Your site is the only touch point I have had with you and having all the ads before and after is a bad experience. I understand you have to make money. I click on your ads. Just use your design genius to come up with a better way to get me to click on them.
The second thing I would ask you to do more of is tell me why something works and show me designs that don’t work too. Steve Jobs has said that the packaging is just as important as the product. He shows it by not only making it look good but he makes it a great experience. He sets it up so I can take out in order of what I need to set up the machine. Show me why a package works, not just good looking packages. We all know that something that looks good doesn’t always translate to working good. Packaging to me is about telling a story (like the Tiffany blue box). Write more about the story a company is sending with their designs.
That’s my two cents.

This site offers so many great articles as it is… but to add to that archive, I would love to see more information on workflow/process inspiration. Not only that, but case studies and presentations about how the designer went about things the way they did and how they met their clients, or their personal, needs and goals.
It’s great to find this type of information, but it seems to be so few and far between that it’s hard to locate and research. A post like this could offer some great insight.
Thanks,
Jacob

I’d like to see articles about branding. Specifically creating effective branding across all marketing channels… web, print, letterhead, display, online, tv, radio etc… And case studies about how these strategies were thought out, created and implemented and the results. Plus the processes that went on to make it happen. This would be great to discuss the rebranding of an existing brand or a start up.
Thanks for the chance to win the cards.

Awesome contest you’re running! Sidenote - I assume you meant November 20, 2008 and not October 20?
I’d like to see is a series of posts relating to unconventional inspiration. Design inspiration where you would least expect it. Could be landscapes or certain buildings/bridges in a city or even be a rundown rusted warehouse that may give someone looking to design a grunge site, some inspiration.

You see a lot of interviews but maybe it is more intresting to interview a student who is finding a job, and this once a month? So you can see how he/she is struggling, what he/she didn’t except,…
I would love it, but that’s because I am in my final year and thinking about finding a job a lot these days.
November 13th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
You obviously have a lot of talented designers come and view your site. So why not have them showcase their talent by providing dzineblog.com with a new website design every month. Also, if you wind up really liking one of the designs you can keep it as your own.
This could provide some unique exposure to these designers, and you would get some free web design.

I’ll try to compete too. I am aware of more tutorials, and inspiring articles
Actually You are doing good already - but I know it’s hard to keep up and think about new articles

Hi and thanks,
One thing I have found virtually no one do is the day to day runnings and life of:
A ) a graphic designer, what he does, where he does it, who he does it for
B ) a graphic design studio, what they do, how they do it, what software do they do etc.
I mean I personally would love to know how other graphic design houses work, are they using paprika to running and manage their clients, how are they sourcing work, is it steady.
Some ideas on how to get more work and how to keep current clients. How to best manage you client/customer relationship to its full advantage. I mean I personally am here because I love the job, but if I make more money than fantastic!!!

Hi, I would like to see articles on how we can incorporate our designs in our html using some code. Like javascript, smooth out animations and remote data loading with AJAX and PHP?
I would really like some articles on how to create simplistic and minimalistic websites which look amazing. Example:http://www.sikbox.com/ Simple yet amazing.
Thanks.

Hi!
Rotoscoping! I wonder if new movie animations were made with this, if you search i am sure that we can find great animations using this technique!
Or something like “MUTO”, by Blu (http://www.vimeo.com/993998?pg=embed&sec=993998), it´s great!
November 14th, 2008 at 6:09 am
I’ve only recently subscribed to the site so I don’t have a lot to add other than it would be good to see designs listed/shown/compared by industry.
All too often we as designers only really get to drool over other designers’ personal sites. (Most likely due to client demands) But I would be interested in seeing say a section of good/bad hotel websites.
Also, am I right in assuming the contest deadline is Nov 20th, not Oct 20th?

OOPS Sorry Guys!
The contest Deadline is Nov 20th

I would like to see some ideas on how to implement 3D user interfaces in the web browser. This is clearly an area that is often overlooked but could be very big a year or two from now.
November 14th, 2008 at 7:56 am
Hi, Dzineblog is great but I miss more inspiration on product design…not standar or commercial..but the real inspiring pieces that make real trends..
Also 3d applications and 3d related subjects

Hi,
(still love to learn).
What about tutorials for other softwares than Photoshop, like Illustrator, Flash, InDesign or even Fireworks? That would be great.
There’s some awesome inspiration on your website and I’d like to know how to design the same kind of things myself (and Photoshop is only one of many tools). Just wish I could be as good
Thanks!

I’d like to see some articles on POS (Point of Sale) designing for products and how clever adverting can boost a products sales for a company. How to design studios approach a project, i.e. Brainstorming, mock ups etc. and brilliant advertising and one’s that have failed and reasons why they failed.
November 15th, 2008 at 4:44 am
Great Show and wonderful posts..Keep it up
November 15th, 2008 at 8:01 pm
I wanna see articles about the economics of desings, for example, how do a *real* cost analysis for a customer & break down each part.
Maybe as a reusable form that can be used from the site for any freelancer to truly understand how much cost a project. For example:
Enter:
- Rate by hour
- # estimated hours
- Rate of electricity, phone & internet montly bills
- External cost (like air tickets, lunchs, etc…)
- Cost of raw materials
etc…

There are many talented young designers and developers who wants to join with big interactive agencies like FIRST BORN, BIG SPACESHIPS, BLUR STUDIOS, etc. But they dont have proper guidance and guts to approach them… So im expecting articles which motivate them and suggests some ways to approach big companies and how to deal those companies …
