This Article is continuation of one my post 27 Creative business cards you should’ve seen
In a company where the visual identity became essential, these creations make it possible to make the difference. A well designed and printed business card can impress and make people take notice and remember you . A badly designed or printed card can leave a bad impression or even worse be simply
forgotten.
Here is a collection of cool Business Cards to inspire you,

Nice list! I really like the Hello My name is except that the writing is hard to read… but it’s a great take on the stickers tho.
May 16th, 2008 at 6:17 pm
Awesome Cards!
May 16th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Very inspiring and way outside the common schlock others are peddling. The custom die cuts look expensive but very cool.
May 16th, 2008 at 8:46 pm

May 16th, 2008 at 10:03 pm

May 18th, 2008 at 2:54 am
I need help designing a card for my daughter’s web site http://www.colorforacure.org. Any ideas?
May 18th, 2008 at 5:05 am
Nice compilation of business cards. Just superb.
May 18th, 2008 at 6:16 am
Apart from a couple of cards which I don’t exactly fancy, great list!
May 18th, 2008 at 6:53 am
gets costly with two colors or more
May 18th, 2008 at 6:54 am
These are among the worst business cards I’ve seen. I’d recommend this as what to avoid. They all lack the most important element which is substance. In a year you’ll look back at this list and understand, since they’ll all be out of style by then (well they actually already are a couple years past their time).
May 18th, 2008 at 8:18 am
@Kevin (colorforacure) cards322 Matthew Inman look like Moo Minicards. Have you considered using a photo of Emily (or some art work by her)?
http://www.moo.com/products/minicards.php
May 18th, 2008 at 10:08 am
i agree with harry (16.). the title should read “36 business card designs you should avoid”.
May 18th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
Wow! These are works of art made to inspire. I am impressed. It makes me rethink our own business card. Thanks for sharing.
May 18th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
MUSTACHE and http://www.moustache.com do not go together. Either get http://www.mustache.com or change the card to MOUSTACHE.
For a business card you need to think about how they are going to get used. If the main goal is to have someone take a card, then you might want it to be flashy. If people are going to have your card anyway but you want them to notice it among many competitors, then you might want more branding elements. If people are going to your card for information but they’re not trying to choose among cards, then being noticed isn’t the main goal; making it easy to read and providing lots of information (email, web, phone, name, services) is the best use of that space. If you often write extra information on the card before giving it out, or if you’re giving a card to Hugh MacLeod, be sure to leave lots of white space for writing.

May 19th, 2008 at 8:14 am
Hi All,
Any information presented in a right spot / color / message is always full filed. Hence forth has no expiry date. But it will be there in the same cycle…
good try
May 20th, 2008 at 10:55 am
WOW! Exellent list!
I like this business cards
May 21st, 2008 at 7:39 am
These are some really nice modern designs that have the popular web 2.0 / vector design flavors that will work very well for people in many fields but not all. Someone commented that they are the worst designs as they will be out dated soon. I strongly disagree. I hope this style sticks around for a long time.
May 22nd, 2008 at 9:48 am
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great!!
May 23rd, 2008 at 8:56 am
Agree with Harry. This is exactly the kind of cards that is eye candy enough to please clients but has absolutely no core idea behind it.
May 23rd, 2008 at 1:37 pm
Nice! Does anyone know what the name for the style of printing that alternates between matte and glossy finish – like in the first business card example at the top?
Is this sort of printing generally available only by highly specialized printers?
May 23rd, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Most of them are really busy to my taste. There’re some nice through.
May 26th, 2008 at 1:20 am
here is my personal card, i´m from argentina so the information its in spanish, in the front say “Graphic design” but i take off some leters but still you can read it.

@(30. Jenny)
It’s called spot varnish. Most printers will be able to do this for you. Just ask them. Make sure to ask how they prefer you design/setup the file for spot varnishes. ie. layers, or a different color, etc.
May 26th, 2008 at 8:21 am
These are really great cards!
I also like the blogger cards (featuring a customizable tag cloud) from http://www.ooprint.com
They offer some great designs, including student business cards & 2008 campaign cards with your political candidate on the back.
Plus, they have a great trial offer . . . you can get 100 business cards free!
May 26th, 2008 at 8:38 am
Wow. Really awesome. I like every single design…

Fantastic collection! Thanks for sharing.
June 2nd, 2008 at 1:02 pm
Wow I actually haven’t seen any of these before. I wish that the two people who said they don’t like the cards would explain why instead of just criticizing or show some of their own designs…
June 4th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
Rock ON! One of those business cards belong to a couple of my friends. That has got to give them the biggest head Evar!

June 25th, 2008 at 6:19 am
this list is wonderfull
July 1st, 2008 at 8:18 pm
Just simply creative! Fabulous!!! There are so many business card printers/designers out there who lack creativity. With this in mind, would you consider providing some referrals to great designers and printers that can provide these types of quality business cards? As a marketing consultant, I would really appreciate it. Thanks and God Bless, Tyra

Thanks for sharing my card and promoting it on this blog. I really appreciate it.
All the other cards are trememdous, and I’m sure will be a great source of inspiration.
Thanks for sharing.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
I must agree with Harry at number 17, some of this cards are not what they are supposed to be– basically an aide memoire so that people get your name and contact details right.
I’m not sure I could keep a straight face if someone offered me a card like some of those illustrated. Sure there are others that are exemplary ‘corporate chic’, but I dno’t know if I would want to emulate them.

Very awesome collection here.
October 28th, 2008 at 5:51 pm
Although all of these cards are definitely cool, I’d imagine some of them are fairly expensive to produce. This is the fourth such list I’ve seen today and yet none have shown a dollar bill business card. Now, those are really cool… and they’re not expensive either!
Best Regards,
John

There were a few nice ones but ‘36 Cool Business Cards You Should’ve Seen’ is a bit extreme. There were some wicked lame ones in here so I disagree with the headline. I also agree with ‘Harry’ who said they mostly lack substance. Some have amateur written all over them.
April 15th, 2009 at 6:57 pm
WOW! Exellent list!

Great Designs but I still can’t find inspiration… :/
Does anyone have ideas for an mma shirts store?
August 31st, 2009 at 10:18 pm
I would agree with those of you that thought these were weak. Most of them are Web 2.0 and pretty tired. I thought only 2 cards were worthy of being in this post…. unless of course we were trying to lower the bar.
August 31st, 2009 at 11:17 pm
Some great inspiration here. A few great and unique techniques and materials used. Thanks for rounding these up!

I love these ideas! They definitely make me want to go out and create. I also found a pretty cool baseball card style card the other day (www.searchschwag.com). It’s pretty cool but I really love the colorful ones you posted.
November 29th, 2009 at 4:54 pm
As a designer creating cards for others, I really appreciate this post. It helps me brainstorm what to do next.
I think the hardest part is trying to conceptualize something that would really stand out, since we all know how important it is to be memorable in the world of business and networking.
Right now, I’m working on designing Christain themed cards for my pastor and its really a pain in the butt to come up with cool ideas for a church that doesn’t cost a ton of money. If anyone want to comment or point to some examples, feel free!
Anywho, I appreciate the post. Keep it coming!
December 3rd, 2009 at 6:29 am

Hey! some of these cards are so great..!! out of mind! great job. it makes me think of new designs to create some cards… thamk..!!!
January 26th, 2010 at 12:16 am
I can understand why a few people are critical of these cards - but many of them are *concept* business cards. As you can see, sometimes no contact information is provided, and quite a few aren’t actually real but instead made with a program.
I do agree they mostly share the “Web 2.0″ look, but some do carry that out quite successfully and that should be applauded. From a practical standpoint, however, many of these cards would be quite expensive to mass produce.
